Blomberg’s Commitment to Creating Sanctuary

Creating a home that is a true sanctuary has never been more important. We all need to surround ourselves with objects and products that make our lives feel not only enriched and supported but also mindful and responsible. Blomberg has always envisioned the concept of “sanctuary” in its design and engineering process—purposefully creating home appliances that optimize both energy efficiency and space while maximizing style and sophistication. Our reputation for excellence continues to increase—especially among architects, designers, and builders specializing in multiuse developments and trending compact homes. The reason? Innovative new technologies that make it easier to meet stringent LEED points criteria in the most beautiful way possible, plus Blomberg’s ongoing leadership in the ENERGY STAR® program. Since 1992, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ENERGY STAR program has fulfilled a critical mission: providing credible and unbiased information about energy efficient products and recognizing brands raising the bar on environmental protection. Blomberg has been an active participant in this important endeavor, not only earning ENERGY STAR certification for dozens of its kitchen and laundry appliance but also becoming a technical resource for the ENERGY STAR organization. On March 31, 2020, the EPA announced the winners of the 2020 ENERGY STAR Awards. And we are incredibly pleased and proud to report Blomberg earned the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence Award for the second year in a row. It’s a big deal. The Sustained Excellence Award is the highest ENERGY STAR honor, presented only to companies already named an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for at least two consecutive years and that demonstrate significant leadership in energy conservation efforts. In Blomberg’s case, we’ve been honored as Partner of the Year in the Product Owner category every year since 2017. In addition, 15 Blomberg appliances received the coveted 2020 ENERGY STAR Most Efficient mark for meeting rigorous energy-efficiency criteria and delivering significant technology innovation. These are impressive accomplishments by any metric. But, to us, achieving excellence and environmental responsibility is a journey, not a destination. We know that, to truly fulfill our mission, we must continue developing cutting-edge technologies in harmony with nature. And we must continue manufacturing exceptional home appliances that use resources more efficiently, perform more beautifully, and uniquely embody the feeling of sanctuary. That’s Blomberg’s standard of excellence. Always has been. Always will be.
